Join in the Kerem Shalom Young Person’s Concert – Sunday, March 25th, 3:00 PM

On Sunday, March 25th at 3:00 PM we will be holding our special KEREM SHALOM YOUNG PERSONS’ CONCERT in the social hall. This will be a supportive environment for children to perform their upcoming recital pieces with whatever instrument they like in front of an appreciative audience. This year we will be joined by some of the piano and voice students of Jeanne Morrill, who has taught children in Concord and Lincoln for many years and are also inviting others who are singers, poets, dancers and actors.

Refreshments will be served, of course!

Come meet old friends from KS and make some new friends who share your love of music and the performing arts and want to honor our young performers.

Special Membership Rate for Adults

We are offering a special reduced membership rate for adults without children or with high school or older children and who have never been a member of Kerem Shalom before: First year family membership fees of $1,200 or individual membership fees of $800 with deferred building fees until the third year. In cases of financial need, our members may apply for an abatement, which is processed in a respectful and confidential manner. This includes all membership privileges.

“Parenting Through a Jewish Lens” Class

We still have a few openings for “Parenting Through a Jewish Lens” facilitated by Rabbi Natan Margalit.

A 10-week journey for parents meets on 10 non-consecutive Sunday mornings at KS, from 10-11:30 AM.

Free childcare provided for your child(ren) during class, offered by Hebrew College & CJP.

Tentative dates: Nov 6, 13, 20; Dec 11, 18; Jan 8, 22, 29; Feb 5, 12; (Mar 18 snow date/make-up)

Introductory Membership for Young Families

Kerem Shalom is offering a special introductory membership for families with young children. To help with the cost of a religious school education, for the school year 2010-2011, families whose oldest child is entering grade 2 or lower, may join Kerem Shalom and enroll their child for a significantly reduced rate. We hope that this large reduction will make it possible for families to begin their child’s Hebrew school education and become members of our community.

Our Hebrew School has flexible, one day a week scheduling and a commitment to educational excellence. Our faculty’s many years of experience provides a rich learning environment for all children. And our Family Educator designs engaging learning experiences for the whole family. The students in grades 4 and up enjoy regular youth group activities.
